Gone Walk About

Well I'm down to one more sleep. I'm mostly packed, most of my visits are taken care of, my phone call list is getting down to the last few....Alf answer your phone, and the cat food is topped up. All ready!

The first part of the trip will be filled with laughter. I never have as much fun as when I'm visiting my favorite aunt and uncle. They're the music lovers and they think I'm funny. I then visit another aunt. Everything becomes more serious with her and I really enjoy that too. She thinks I'm a genius. After that, I cross the province and visit with my son's family with two little grandchildren awaiting. Very exciting!!!

There are 568 songs between Page One and Page Two in the links to listen to until I'm back. I uploaded a couple of songs onto Page Two last night to provide links to something other than this blog. Give them a listen. One is an African song, Baisabi, by Ziomara Fortuna. The other is Fortune by Emma Pollock.

For today more travelling songs....Think Twice Before You Go by John Lee Hooker and Bye Bye (The Peter Gunn Theme) by Sarah Vaughan. Remember, visit the music pages. Bye Bye.

It's Monday Already

With 4.5 Celcius, we're back to late fall temperatures. There is even talk of flurries around midnight. I won't stay awake to check. Still planning the walks but it won't be as pleasant.

Just got a phone call about someone finding a cat. I'll be checking it out in a few minutes. I've given up hope but still follow all leads....just in case. Clarkie!!!!!!

The American Thanksgiving celebration was wonderful with twenty-two around the huge table. There were two turkeys, a ham and everything to go with them. The desserts were to die for and after eating them we all felt that to die for might not just be an expression. Everyone was really stuffed and happy, full of good cheer and family and friendship.....wonderful indeed!

Music today: Giver by Patrick Watson and Get Up Stand Up by John Lee Hooker and Richie Havens.

For a link, something fun for a Monday, The Indian Shankar Drum Machine.

In Disguise

Happy Halloween! I have a reputation for always dressing up in costume for Halloween but am not this year. The local post office and grocery store employees were pretty surprised to see me not in costume today. We talked about dressing up for trivia tonight too but I have a reason. You can't make purchases at the liquor stores in this province if you're wearing Halloween makeup of masks. No exceptions. I need beer. Enough said!

Music today: Standin' at the Crossroads by John Lee Hooker and Take Me As I Am by appropriately, October Project.

I'm on my way to visit some galleries but wanted to put this link in on the right day. Enjoy this Halloween link.
