A Needed Break

I'd love to show how excited I am to be getting off the Island and somewhere new with a photo of a big smile on my face but a shadow of jumping for joy will have to do. Yee Haw! I so love to travel but don't have the means for a lot of it so love it when I get a chance. My job isn't very hard. I'm responsible for driving and walking the dog and said I will do the cooking. The dog and cooking I will enjoy but will grin and bear the driving.

While I am gone, you can fight amongst yourselves. LOL There are lots of songs to listen to on the music pages and you can go back in the archives to peruse photos from other times "in the tiny life on PEI". There is so much to look at on the internet. It's a marvel! I'm amazed, really, that people actually stop by here. I'd like to revamp and do a few things here when I get back but I do have a glass commission to take care of first.

Walk, Run, Walk, Run

I think I've been too busy. I've not had time to do everything and blogging has been put to the back burner. The fact that my music disappeared has been a real bummer to me though it doesn't seem to have bothered anyone else. I may be at the tail end of the blogging.

I had a friend waiting for me when I got home. We had a wonderful visit. He didn't stay for supper though he was invited and loves my cooking. He and another friend are coming on the weekend when my sister and sister-in-law are visiting. We are counting on a fun weekend for sure.

I've started walking in earnest again. It will be daily or I will dance. I've gained a couple of pounds since starting work. After today's walk, I bathed myself with a fan until I cooled enough to look a normal colour. It is extremely hot and humid, as I've said, and sweat and an altered colour is the result. I hope sweat is heavy.

Music, if it can be trusted to still be there, is about the walking and the running I've been doing. I'll Run Your Hurt Away by Ruby Johnson and 500 Miles by Peter, Paul and Mary are appropriate. I've been going at a much faster spped than Peter, Paul and Mary by the way. I'm way faster.

Packing It Up

I've been trying to get my computer song collection onto cd. I thought I was finished up to Bob Dylan but now have two more Bob songs, one more by Ani, two by Aretha, one by Billie and one by Bobby Bland. I think this will keep happening as I go along. A bit frustrating to say the least.

Today I make a go away dinner for my daughter. She wants spaghetti and is inviting a few friends over. She still has a lot of packing to do but last minute is usual with her...not like her mother who would have finished packing a week ago. We are who we are, isn't that so!
