A New Generation

I am a bit tardy with checking in as I said I would do, but I find the decision to end regular posting was the right one for the time being. I have a grueling work schedule and am okay with that but it does make a post here next to impossible.

You may have guessed by now that I have an announcement, which is as good a reason as any to get back here with an update. I have recently had the extreme pleasure at attending the birth of my third grandchild. Though I had attended births before, this was a more amazing experience as I watched my daughter become a mother.

I stayed with my daughter's new family for a week afterward to help but ended up falling in love. This new little girl has stolen my heart. Her middle name is mine and I am so honoured and proud. I find her the perfect start to a new human being.

BEAUTIFUL, SPECIAL dear baby!!! Congratulations to you and your whole family. I can see why you have fallen in love. Bask in it! This child will love music just like her gran.

I sang to her for a week and gave her a good start in the music loving department.

Hearty congratulations, my friend!! Raise her in music and the both of you will be blessed! She's a doll! All my 3 grandkids were C-sections, so I didn't get to attend the births, and I can only imagine what that was like for you.

I haven't had much time lately to be online, and I'm trying to catch up with your beautiful photographs. I am still impressed with your expertise and creativity in that you have the ability to bring focus to such varied things- that you can take equally great pictures of animals and flowers and scenery and food and babies - amazing! Your pictures sometimes leave me speechless; they are stunning. Such a talent!

Spend as much time as you can with the little one - I am so happy for you!

Thank you so much for the wonderful compliment. I wish I could spend more time with the new addition. I live in another province and have a demanding work schedule. I had to juggle for months to get a week off. In the summer my daughter will visit quite often. I love the little baby as I developed a real bond in that week.
