Goodness! Almost four hours late. My plans changed directions so many times today that it's a wonder my chair was still waiting for me when I turned the corner. Everything, even though plans kept changing, went smoothly enough though, so it was an ok day in Charlottetown.
The dental appointment I rescheduled after the dentist canceled the previous one, was canceled first thing this morning. The dentist sustained a golf injury and may be out of commission for a while. He thinks he sustained a rotator cuff injury. Not good for a dentist......or an artist, don't I know. I may have to see another dentist as a new patient. I'm not aware if there are shortages in the dental field like there are in the medical field.
I had to have unexpected car work done to pass my annual vehicle inspection. Brake pads and rotors, headlight bulb, etc. I had car repairs not too long ago as well. I'm not expecting any miracles. A vehicle costs a lot of money to run and maintain and is an absolute necessity living in the country. And, it's where I choose to be.
By the time I got home I had to prepare supper and was just starting the stirfry as my son was walking in the door, so it's now late. What A Day is the song of the day. It's by Greg Laswell and was featured on Grey's Anatomy. Joe Cocker is bringing us the second selection today, the classic summer song. I wish I could get the songs from my vinyl into mp3's. I would play my favorite, and very different, version of the Summer In the City - by BB King. Maybe you have it, Ralph? You had the Aretha song I wanted for so long.
Turns out I already have that one up on Page Two so here's another second song of the day - Home Again by Haale.
