Outdoor Work Progresses

I thought I was sore and tired yesterday. Today I'm swollen, sore and tired and had to take Ibuprofen to get back outside after lunch. No one told me middle age hurt this much. Even one of the cats is limping today. They were pretty wild in the trees yesterday and again today, jumping from tree to tree and onto the ground from on high. Kenz went upstairs one foot at a time. I still haven't had a hot bath but opted for showering for the shorter time it required. Tonight for sure!

I got a lot done in these two days but not everything. I haven't even touched one garden. A property this size and established has a lot of upkeep and it's too much alone. My son is not into garden and yard chores so I get no help at all. There is way too much for one person. I love my house and property but would like to find something a lot easier to maintain.

It was a beautiful day to be outdoors and I enjoyed that aspect of today. We are expecting a couple of days of rain and drizzle so taking advantage of perfect weather is golden. The rain can do it's job on the gardens now that I've done mine.

A good friend of mine turns fifty today. The music is for her. My friend's name is Heather so Blooming Heather by Kate Rusby is especially for her and Enjoy Yourself by Todd Snider is good advice for your birthday no matter the age.

Mission Accomplished

I have no photo of the glass work for you but the piece is finished. I have to clean it and have someone hold it up so that I can take a photo. Due to schedules the client won't see it tell next weekend. It will be decided then, where exactly in the restaurant it will go.

I'm not that pleased with it in that the lines look like an amateur did the piece and I suppose that is basically true given my absence from the field. I need more practice. I did two very large windows in tandem a couple of years ago and the second was much better. I did enjoy the experience though and the studio got a good cleaning.

Sister in law was away for an enjoyable 's vacation week so I have someone to visit regularly again. I missed her terribly. No world problems got solved this week in her absence and they certainly weren't as heavily discussed.

With my mission accomplished, I have Mission Accomplished by Todd Snider to celebrate. He has a few celebratory songs actually, Beer Run and Enjoy Yourself. I really like his songs. Why not one more. The window design features two capes and beaches and Todd has a song called Ballad of Cape Henry. Close enough for me. I really love the duet but don't know who is singing with Todd.

Beer in the Afternoon

I had a wonderful day yesterday and didn't get home till late last night, so no blog post for hump day. I spent the day with friends, got my bedding plants, lots of photos and thoroughly enjoyed my day off.

We had a beer tasting and the winner with the three above was the Kilkenny. Becks came in second and I hardly liked the Bitburger at all. The results were unanimous and judging by the amount of laughter we shared, a good time was had by all.

I should be outside dealing with my bedding plants and may in a bit but it's cold outside and I like gardening in heat. The plants would like it better on a cool day like today so that's the only reason I'm heading out. I've got lots of pots to fill.

I've got a couple of beer songs today. Beer Run by Todd Snider is a fun, talkin' blues type song. I Drink Beer by Dan Reeder was on the pages once and now is again. A version of well-known song sung by Todd Snider always fits well today; Enjoy Yourself.
