A Detour

I think I should have vegged out. I just wrote a whole post for this blog. It took over two hours as I had several interruptions. Problem is, I was signed into An Island Walk. Please go there for today's post. No, this is not April first.

There is an article (with lots of photos) in Country Living Magazine, July edition, about a family who summers on PEI. "Three generations of the Kline family get together every summer at their house on Prince Edward Island." I thought of you, then got curious - exactly how many people live on PEI? What is your likelihood of ever running into this family? I know Ellsworth, Maine, is about 6000 in the summer and doubles in the winter. Does PEI have a lot of seasonal residents?

We have tons of seasonal resident. Our population is 140,000 and probably doubles in the summer too.

Why would yours double in winter? Is it a ski resort?

We're right by Acadia National Park, and besides the tourists, we have a lot of people who summer in Maine and winter in Florida.

I would think that it would be busier there in summer like here unless there is a ski resort. I never complain about the tourists as I make my living from them.
