Rain Repeat

Cloudy and rainy all week. How is that for a forecast after the past month being filled with mostly cloud and rain? Depressing is the answer. My boss asked me what days off I would like this week. I told her I'd like the sunny days off. I got Tuesday and Wednesday instead. It is great weather for ducks.

I met a cyclist from Maine yesterday. He'd cycled here and was tenting each night. He left the same weather in Maine but hoped it would improve as time went on. It hasn't and the poor man has been freezing. It's quite ok when you're actually cycling but not when you're sleeping in a tent.

I met another cyclist who is cycling across Canada for charity, He is raising money for local food banks. Here is his website. In the latest post, the American cyclist he mentions is the one from Maine who I introduced him to.

Today feels like Sunday so my body time/ brain time is back on schedule. It's amazing how the days of the week have distinct feelings. The ones most distinct for me are Friday and Sunday. I like both days and the feelings they bring.

A couple of songs for the cyclists today - not that they will hear them or know I've dedicated songs to them. Here is Weak in the Knees and This Wheel's on Fire by Serena Ryder. It could only be more perfect if her name was Serena Cycler. I find her voice quite similar to Brandi Carlile's.

So sorry to hear about all that dreary weather! It's just been made official that our May was the wettest in years, but we do get an occasional respite. Hang in!

The sun came out yesterday afternoon. My son mowed the lawn. Today is to be partly sunny but I've Tuesday and Wednesday off which promised warm rain.
